This recipe is a favorite amongst our family and friends. You’re going to want to try it!
Ingredients:
- 3 avocados
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed and finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (1 lime)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (+ more to taste, 3/4 teaspoons total is typical)
Directions:
- Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocado with a fork (or this mashing tool which I LOVE) and make it as chunky as you’d like.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir together. Give it a taste test and add a pinch more of salt or lime juice if needed.
- Serve the guacamole with tortilla chips.
WES’ TIPS:
Look for large avocados for this recipe. If you can only find small ones, feel free to add one more!
Definitely use fresh limes rather than lime juice in a bottle. The flavor difference is worth it.
